Some help needed: Update!

During the History Channel's UFO Hot Spots show this week, a flying saucer sighting that I find particularly interesting was mentioned.

It's a 1945 sighting in the U.S. (Sorry Theo) by a farmer and his son I think of a craft hovering over his land/barn in which the farmer could see a human-like "pilot' with blonde, crew-cut hair paying attention to them.

The farmer thought it was a secret American craft. The thing departed after a short while under observation.

I've got the incident in a book or two here but can't find it and a Google search has not been lucrative.

The interesting thing for the History narrator was that the sighting was in 1945, two years before the alleged Roswell incident, and couldn't be explained by "back-engineering" from the discovered disk at Roswell.

Anyone able to point me to a link where this sighting is noted?
