The Mathematical Impossibilities [sic] of Extraterrestrial Visitation

While math is not my strong suit, to say the very least, one can see (understand) with a mathematical overlay that the idea of UFOs being the result (vanguard, if UFO reports have viability at all) of extraterrestrial visitation by an alien – even highly advanced alien -- species is without credibility, except …(but not even then).

I’ve provided here, often, a panoply of photos and renderings of the Earth within the context of our own galaxy – The Milky Way – and the known Universe.

That alone should (would) stifle any imaginative person’s idea that an alien civilization or several would be reconnoitering or have surveyed our planet, in any numbers, including one.

Let us suppose that an extraterrestrial race had the same incessant curiosity as we Earthlings and did indeed venture out from their planet or abode to see if other sentient being inhabited the vast arena we call the Universe (or just their immediate environs, galaxy).

As a proponent of von Neumann probes – robotic craft as a means of space exploration – I can accept that perhaps a probe stumbled upon our planet sometime in the past and relayed data that indicated to other probes or creators of those probes that there are living entities here, and countless of them, all interacting in harmony with a vital living world (planet).

But one has to accept that a probe visiting here would have been a serendipitous happening, nothing more.

And, moreover, not a consequence of scientific discovery or purposeful happenstance as some UFO enthusiasts or madmen (Ancient Alien theorists) would have it.

That aside – von Neumann probes – the idea that another species would be out and about in the scads needed to probe or find another thinking or active species is ludicrous, on the basis of mathematical numbers needed to scout any part of the Universe let alone the Universe, in toto.

The same would apply to searching lone galaxies too, knowing the innumerable amount of places (solar systems and planets extant, as scientists here have discovered and continue to discover).

The number of scout ships or “explorers” – even robotic ones – needed to explore are impossible, no matter how economically viable an extraterrestrial species or its civilization might be -- and rule out any sensible (sane) idea that this is happening or has happened.

The concept is brought low by the math and observable reality, not by any suggestion by me that ET visits are the out of the question by reasons of personal rebuke.

The numbers themselves denude the possibility of UFO ET visitation.

So, let’s get on with other explanations for UFO sightings.
