The speaker, Bernard Haisch, is an astrophysicist, who speaks a little fast and is only moderately articulate:

While I had trouble following his ideas, because I'm slow when it comes to verbal input, you should find the lecture interesting; it's only about 20 minutes long.

And one question about animal consciousness brought Dr. Haisch to offer a view from St. Agustine, which I adhere to and have always liked since my days at seminary is on point in my view of our supposed reality.

A final back-and-forth from Dr. Haisch and a questioner raises, for me, a problem: Are we truly conscious and experiencing reality or am I, me alone. creating or experiencing reality all by myself; that is, is the world (my reality) just a thing that I'm experiencing and you reading this are not real or do not exist at all?

(I thank Bryan for bringing this YouTube video to my attention, but it makes clear to me that YouTube videos, like podcasts, are not my cup o' tea. I need to see text, which I can highlight and ruminate about. The ephemeral nature of videos and podcasts are intellectually iffy for me.)
