Oumuamua and the Belgium wave: no connection

(I accepted the idea that the oumuamua might be an interstellar roamer sent aloft by a species that had no aesthetic genes in their make-up; a spacecraft without Earthlike beauty.)

While I was reading inside the above link, the History Channel was re-running a show about the Belgium [UFO] wave of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

I've dealt with the Belgian wave a few times here (and elsewhere) and repeat my opposition to the sightings being labeled as UFOs from outer space (an extraterrestrial origin):

No advanced species from elsewhere is coming to Earth in the numbers indicated by sightings and/or reports.

Moreover, no species from another planet or civilization would likely develop lighting similar to Earth, for the spectra difference of their planet or abode, or because of their perception biology, or because their evolution of lighting would surely be vastly different than ours.

The Belgian wave seems to have consisted of sightings of advanced man-made craft, from whom or where open to question.

God, AI, and UFOs

I’ll get both.

But I’m seeing a problem, one that has been hovering over me (and others) lately, the human insertion into concepts that tran- scend human reason: God, AI, the UFO phenomenon.

The Covid-19 pandemic, the George Lloyd-inspired “protests” and Trump, all insertions of a kind of civilizational madness have en- gulfed me (and others), maybe even a few of you.

God is a topic that defies rationality, as the Cabalists of old told us, and the discussion of AI in technological and academic circles is rampant with panic or cockeyed optimism, while the UFO phenom- enon has sunk into retrospective, nostalgic remembrances and a horde of meaningless rambling, much of it non-UFO related….corny jokes, accounts of past conference attendances, past gatherings of UFO chums, and other UFO detritus that gives us nothing but fluff or vapid recollections that are totally meaningless.

No one will grasp or understands the nature of God, its immanence or essence, nor is anyone grappling with the creation of a non-wayward AI, in an ingenious, top-to-bottom evaluation, trying to thrust it into a commercial or military basket.

As for UFOs, they also are outside the mantle of human mentality it seems, as Daniel, here, pointed out in his simplistic [sic] but per- ceptive way a few days ago in a comment.
