Octopus Aliens?

PBS had a show on Octopuses Wednesday night [10/2/19] that was not only interesting but speculatively intriguing.

The show highlighted a scientist who kept an octopus as a pet as he and his daughter kept track of the creature’s behavior.

(I kept a baby octopus, we found in an estuary by us when I lived in Florida, in an aquarium. I didn’t experiment with the icky thing but we kept it fed and happy, I hope.)

Octopuses dream, as the show exhibited and news noted this past week. And the creatures perceived people and seem to identify them. (The scientist keeper also showed the mollusk apparently watching television with his daughter.)

And PBS brought in the alien (extraterrestrial) suggestion, citing the movie Arrival as presenting the idea also.

Octopuses evolved from a common slug millions of years ago, and interacts with high intelligence, much more so than almost any other creature on Earth.

This brings me to the conjecture that perhaps octopuses may be piloting UFOs and come from a watered civilization nearby in the Galaxy. (Remember, this is just a speculation.)

This would explain the obsession that UFOs have with water, and allows why UFOs and their pilots may have undersea bases.

Of course, if they didn’t have some corrective technology for when they, in their UFOs, change directions abruptly or speed away supersonically, there would be a problem: splat!

Anyway, the ‎cephalopods do provide an example of what an alien [ET] species might be like, one that is totally foreign in kind from humans but as (or more) intelligent than we primates are.
