That damnable Socorro symbol

Moving these offline books about symbols to bookshelves in my personal library shows you that I take interpretation of Lonnie Zamora's Socorro symbol seriously, no matter which symbol turns out to be the accurate representation.

I accept, along with Kevin Randle, that the arced (umbrella over an arrow) symbol is what Officer Zamora saw on the thing that took off before his eyes in 1964 outside Socorro, New Mexico.

Looking through the books, shown above, and at thousands of symbols online at various sources, nothing showed up that resembled, closely, the arced symbol although a few had characteristics of the Ray Stanton promoted inverted V with lines through it.

But symbols close in configuration to the inverted V represented things prosaic or mundane, while the arc over an arrow has an exotic patina.

And it represents, for me, the "smoking gun" that tells us who or what Police Officer Zamora observed.

The other day I saw a portion of the El Rey networks Godzilla marathon: Godzilla vs. Biollante [1989]

In the movie was a scene that indicated a miracle (of God?) that stemmed the carnage. It was a splendid depiction of what a real miracle would look like or be like.

There have been no observed, real miracles in modern times and the miracles ascribed to God in The Hebrew Bible (The Old Testament) or those allegedly by Jesus, aside from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah [Genesis 19: 24] all needed assistance by humans or were pitiful, except for the raising of Lazarus from the dead in The New Testament [John 11: 43/44].

There seems to be limitations on God’s powers or a mischievous (evil, according to the Gnostics and Jung) temperament in God.

And it would be God who is the creator and manipulator of the so-called Matrix or computer-generated existence that besets we humans and our Earth.

This brings me to something rather trivial: the explanation of UFOs.

When the Air Force’s  Project Blue Book came to a conclusion that of its 12,618 collected UFO sightings, a little over 700 remained unexplained, this was the threshold that the “force” controlling our existence wouldn’t allow to be crossed; that is, UFO investigators would never be able to explain a residue of UFO sightings, allowing a de facto understanding of what UFOs are.

This is still the situation today.

What the UFO phenomenon needs is a “messiah” to herald in the meaning and explanation of UFOs.

Now, I don’t think Tom DeLonge is that “messiah” but he could be Ufology’s John the Baptist.

A new, young, dynamic person has to spring forth, within the confines of the UFO maelstrom and provide a viable explanation for the phenomenon.

It won’t be Jacques Vallee or Stanton Friedman. They had their chance.

It won’t be any of the old duffers still rambling about UFOs; persons like CDA or me.

It won’t be the 50 year-old crowd. They lost their way when paranormal events took hold of their interest, diluting the energy that should be given to UFOs and UFOs alone.

It won’t be the UFO side-liners one finds marring the UFO landscape with dodgy, even ridiculous attempts to understand the elusive phenomenon.

No, the UFO “messiah” will be a newbie who arises out of the dust stirred up by Tom DeLonge and his errant followers.

This “messiah” will be a brilliant disruptor, one who grapples with that defiant and insane deity who holds destiny tightly to its bosom.

This disruptor will find a way to circumvent the stasis that is ufology today and offer an explanation of the phenomenon; an explanation that is obvious and true, even to the skeptics that abound in the UFO arena.

So, let us pray…
