The Metaverse – not the Multiverse, the “Metaverse”!

An extensive review of a book – The Metaverse: And How it Will Revolutionize Everything by Matthew Hall [Liverlight, $30] – by Sue Halpern in The New York Review of Books (10/20/22, Page 33 ff.) scrutinizes Mark Zuckerberg’s change of Facebook to Meta outlining plans by Zuckerberg and others (Apple. Amazon, et al.) to create and provide a virtual world for humanity – yes, humanity!
 
Reading what has transpired so far – the establishment of virtual worlds – allowed me to consider the idea that maybe future humanity is living in a virtual world and appearances of UFOs are aspects – artifacts – from that virtual world.
 
This would mean that the future world is subsumed by a Matrix-like overlay, something that, according to the information in Halpern’s review, is a “virtual” reality already.
 
Yes, I know that this idea is iffy, even goofy perhaps, but it is not improbable or impossible.
 
UFOs as part of a virtual reality encompasses much that has been recorded by “sightings” and the following reportage, supported by accounts noted by José Caravaca and Albert Rosales (and others) that make little sense, except within a virtual context.
 
Try to access the NYRB review online. It is more than interesting. It is a kind of revelation.
