The science failure

My FB pal Rick Hilberg often provides older flying saucer/UFO accounts on Facebook, a few I’ve showcased here, as you know.
He placed this shopworn photo online today [7/17/21] and I responded:
Placing questionable and/or derided material about UFOs in prominent places (Facebook, YouTube, et cetera) screws up UFO newbies and the historical record of UFOs, much as my (and others) bizarre – as Dominick sees them – conjectures flummox the UFO story.
But so-called scientific efforts haven’t don’t very much in the way of resolving the UFO mystery.
And I just read a guy telling Facebookers, that while he was “researching” UFOs, he found an interesting item. He wasn’t researching. He was just looking around for UFO stuff.
All this – my foolishness, Hilberg’s regurgitating old, useless info and stories or photos, people thinking that research is searching online for UFO stuff -- as grist for solid UFO study goes to the heart of why the damn phenomenon remains elusive as ever.
Garbage in, garbage out, as the old computer saw had it.
Where is the real research? Jacques Vallee isn’t a source any longer and the pseudo-attempts, with some technical gear, isn’t doing it either.
Real science is missing, and genius-conjecturing is too.
We’re in an ongoing stasis, as Ron understands, as does Daniel too, I think.
No wonder Dominick is grouchy. We’re getting nowhere, fast.
