Folie a deux and UFO reports

My pal Matty referred, here, to my use of the psychiatric term "folie a deux."
Folie a deux refers, in my UFO usage for the term, as an hallucinogenic observation of a UFO that a secondary or accompanying witness also sees or shares.
The term works for the Betty/Barney Hill shared experience.
Matty suggests that a folie a deux doesn't work for two independent witnesses, persons not connected by marriage, friendship, or any other kind of serious connection.
To clarify what a folie a deux is, I cite the definition in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM–5) and the following for those who should be familiar with the symptom as it relates to UFO sightings:
