The YouTube Fallacy
Copyright 2020, InterAmerica, Inc.
A few golliwogs who no longer visit here – because I mocked
their YouTube “education” – would do well to research how watching and
listening to presentations, like those that surfeit YouTube (Ted Talks, for
one), or hearing a podcast is futile as a residue for intellectualism.
I’ve provided links and sources about this a few times
earlier here and present, again, some material from the internet – their source
of documentation since they apparently are loath to read books from eminent
scholars on matter(s) opened here for discussion.
“How much do we retain by listening?
Studies have shown that immediately after listening to a
10-minute oral presentation, the average listener has heard, understood and
retained 50 percent of what was said.
Within 48 hours, that drops off another 50 percent to a
final level of 25 percent efficiency.”
I still get YouTube recommendations, and even employ YouTube
myself, but mostly for musical or visual presentations to supple- ment book
resources that pertain to a point I’m trying to make.
Let me again caution visitors/readers here to hold back
comments with a supplemental YouTube or Podcast reference. (I got one re- cently
from an avid skeptic who should know better.)
I consider those who provide YouTube and some internet links
to be jackasses or persons without intellectual cachet.
Save me the trouble of deleting your comments or ignoring
them.
This will also save you the effort of presenting ignorant
ramblings to those who shirk such irrelevancies.
Grazie.
