UFOs are seeking….what?

TCM [Turner Classic Movies] aired 7/21/2020 a 2015 docu-film, NotFilm, about a movie attempt by Samuel Beckett – Film – an incomprehensible effort, not unlike many of Beckett’s works, which often dealt with the Existential dilemma we humans find ourselves in.

References to Beckett’s Waiting for Godot reminded me how often I’ve referred here, at this blog and others, to the UFO equivalence to the Godot wait, without denouement.

[An interesting aside in the docu-film was a note that Beckett who taught some classes in France didn’t recall the work by Balzac, Waiting for Gâteau, with a similar theme but a more satisfying ending.]

Since a denouement for the UFO enigma doesn’t seem to be forthcoming, what do we have to work with, besides the obvious: witness accounts, some photographs, and those AATIP videos, maybe landing traces.

Then what do we have? Just questions….

What are UFOs looking at? Where has their major reconnoitering been? What do they seem interested in?

The major sites that many UFO enthusiasts pick as the interest point for UFOs are nuclear or military facilities, implying that UFOs are very interested in our atomic weaponry.

That may be so, but such interest wouldn’t come by way of interplanetary visitors, which I eschew, as you know.

No extraterrestrial civilization, no matter how advanced they might be, would be attracted to atomic testing here on Earth. Such enterprises would go unnoticed even by a presence as close as the Moon, let alone a planet further away.

Yes, if a UFO visitor was surveying the Earth and an atomic bomb was detonated, maybe they’d be shocked and/or investigate, but there were no atomic detonations before 1945, so the source of UFO visitations had to be something else.

History Channel’s Unidentified airing Saturday [7/25/20] made the case for UFO visitations of nuclear facilities and war zones but the show didn’t answer why the things were there or what they were looking for.

I’ve conjectured that the UFOs, if AI machines, might have thought they found some allies or like-creatures among all the tech machines intact at nuclear sites but, again, I don’t see UFOs as alien visitations concerned with atomic fission. 

Oh yah, those atomic facilities being scrutinized, might be attention-getters in the way told by the fictional Terminator series: the beginning of devices that eventually screw up humanity or devastate the Earth…a problem for future Earthlings.

So what else might attract UFOs?

Warring humans? Perhaps. But not many records, except perhaps one, indicated a UFO presence, that one indication, arguably, was Constantine’s view of a vibrant cross above the battlefield at Milvian Bridge in 312 A.D.

All we have besides that vision are the foo fighters – just lights or orbs – spotted by some pilots during World War II, and a few incidents during recent military scuffles. But nothing significant, historically.

 The cave drawings or pictographs displayed by the Ancient Alien crowd that offers the suggestion that the images formed or crafted or incised et cetera depict something that primitive man saw or experienced and thought it worthy enough to be embedded in something for posterity.

Maybe that’s so, but does the observations and recording of those observations tell us that what was seen were ETs and their machines?

The one thing that UFOs do seem interested in is water. Many sightings occur near or in water.

But Geophysicists inform us that there is more water on Jupiter’s moon Ganymede than anywhere else in the Solar System, and it contains much more water than Earth, all accessible to advanced visitors to our area in space.

But for a time-traveler from Earth’s future, where water may have become scarce because of human folly, might find the seas, oceans, rivers, lakes et al. fascinating, yes?

But time-traveling is a mathematically nuanced endeavor, because the parameters from which one travels has to match up with parameters where one is traveling to, and those places that a future traveler departs from have moved considerable distances and spaces that time-travelers would have to into account a number of variables, an almost infinite number of variables.

Time travel is not as pictured in science fiction stories. It’s a deli- cate, complex endeavor, making it responsible for all the recorded UFO sightings/reports particularly iffy, more than the idea of interplanetary travel, but like ET travel, possible, just improbable.

Why UFOs are here, now, as they were in the past goes unanswered.

Are they benign entities as the UAP designation allows? Or are they something else, totally enigmatic and wondrous….or awful?
