Those Pseudo ET Warnings

CBS’ 60 Minutes Sunday [12/16] presented a segment on the problem of plastics in Earth’s water environments (the oceans, rivers, streams, et cetera); a massive, probable global disaster more than imminent (upon us now).

And last week there was the conference on Global Warming, another imminent disaster approaching mankind.

The History Channel offered in its Alien Astronaut series last Friday [12/14] commentary about the possibility of a giant asteroid colliding with Earth, removing mankind as it removed the dinosaurs millennia ago.

With those dangers prominent in the news today, and all of them actual catastrophes in the making, how is it that in all the so-called warnings from UFO beings who’ve allegedly interacted with humans, the major problem confronting mankind’s existence, and given vent by the space visitors – the only warning proffered – has been nuclear disaster?

How did the supposed visitors looking out for us (humans) miss the catastrophes upon us and more probable than a nuclear confrontation between countries of the world?

Well, if the messages supposedly given to UFO witnesses are part of the Caravacian Distortion Theory, one might chalk up the mise-en-scène as mischievous (and sadistic) comments, created from the witness’s own mind, a meme left over from the Cold War eras.

Or the atomic holocaust scenario is part of the confabulated story concocted by the UFO hoaxer, promulgated by a woefully inadequate fictive imagination.

At any rate, one can see that the long-time warnings from flying saucer crews were (and are) so off the mark that the stories which regurgitated them may be dismissed out of hand.

Humans “interfacing” with what (or whom)?

That human beings have, throughout history, interacted with something not human is a cautionary certitude.

Religions and mythologists write that the contacts were with God or gods, and Ancient Astronaut/Alien theorists say that the contacting entities were extraterrestrials.

Jacques Vallee, John Keel, and Jose Caravaca are of the persuasion that the contacts originate within a psychical sphere and are thus products of the mind, the source or catalyst open to speculation.

Ufologists (some) think the contacts have been or are little gray aliens (ETs).

But the accounts of the interfacing have not provided any specific clue as to what or who is (or was) interacting with some human beings.

The Biblical story of the Moses and God interludes or those between Hebrew prophets, such as Enoch, Elijah, and Ezekiel put the contact(s) inside a religious scenario.

The contacts within the Mesopotamian cultures and societies and the Egyptian histories attribute the contacts to gods from an unearthly milieu.

The sub-continent cultures (India) and early far Eastern civilizations (Japan. China) offer spiritual or off-Earth entities making contact.

The ancient American continent societies (Amerindian, Incan, Olmec, Mayan, Aztec) provided tales of intercessions by entities from the sky or realms above.

The early Greeks and Mediterranean cultures, along with the peoples of northern climes (Norsemen, Celts Picts) created mythologies, placing the interactions between gods and men as “romances” – stories that placed the contacts inside an emotional construct.

But none have offered a definitive proof or understanding of what those “beings” interceding with humans were (or are). Or their purpose for contact. Nothing.

In the fascinating (and, at the same time irritating) humanoid contact stories I’m fond of reading (especially those in the Rosales series of books), the witness accounts are so bizarre and amorphous they seem to indicate a temporary madness infusing many seemingly normal individuals.

One would think that modern day accounts of such interfaces by weird acting or strange acting entities would be, at least, a trifle more understandable than the tales from antiquity.

But they aren’t.

The “revelations” of contact between non-human beings and humans are even murkier today than those from storytellers of old.

But there can be little doubt that, throughout mankind’s histories, something or someone, out of the ordinary, has made it a point to interact, interface with human beings, in a seemingly nonsensical way, generally. Why? To what end or purpose?

That flying saucers or UFOs keep appearing above our heads, with no apparent intent, doesn’t matter.

It’s the contact, the interfacing of out-of-ordinary beings or things, that matter. That’s where the explanation of or for existence lies, whether that explanation comes via fairies, elves, angels, “gods,” spacemen (and women), et al.
