Alien (extraterrestrial) abductions: a lot of hooey?

I just found, in my reading pile, the book pictured by Daniel Harran PhD.
 
It traffics in the alien abduction scenarios that have become ubiquitous in the UFO field, most enthusiasts accepting the “experiences” as gospel. Even John Mack was enthused.
 
I’m early into the book apparently, as my markers are found at pages 45 and 69.
 
The back cover blurb says former assistant professor of physics, Harran, “shows that abductions of human beings into UFOs are of an Earthly nature.”
 
(How did this book get submerged in my reading pile?)
 
I’ll get further into it and provide material that seems important or interesting.

The video opens with some usual well-known and little-known UFO sightings but nearing the end, after a survey of Russian (Soviet) UFO accounts, the 1980 Rendlesham sighting is presented before the current nonsense took hold -- the report containing information I hadn't heard before and a clarification that purifies the event.

Following after that is a retrospective of the Roswell incident before that event's add-on clutter.

A young Nick Pope is seen, putting the Philip Mantle lie about Nick's lack of UFO involvement with the MoD to bed.

You'll surely find this early video edifying in a number of ways. Give it a patient viewing.
